He evidently hadn’t expected to win, and a search party was sent looking for him. Luckily, however, the OMR is a village, and the winner was quickly found. The jersey was presented to Janne, he shook hands with the many well-wishers, and finally, he was photographed with DIE FANTASTISCHEN VIER. Best of all: the Speed Boule Challenge is going on tour! There will be plenty of opportunities to roll the balls this summer for all those who were unable to visit us at the OMR Festival. We are still walking on air from our OMR adventure in Hamburg—and especially from the crowds of visitors. Without their participation in and enthu- siasm for the Speed Boule Challenge, it would have been only half as special. Underberg x DIE FANTASTISCHEN VIER x boules No mistake: DIE FANTASTISCHEN VIER and Underberg are simply a match. But really, how does boules fit in? Answering this question is not at all difficult; it has evolved just as natu- rally as the friendship between Underberg and DIE FANTAS- TISCHEN VIER. One of their gigs took the band to Büsum, where the idea for the video “Four Seconds of Silence” was born on the beach. Although Smudo is the only band member with real boules experience, the commercial quickly revealed in authentically captured scenes that the game of boules is about more than just winning. It stands for slowing down, community, and awareness of being together in the moment. We wanted to transfer this feeling to the OMR Festival as well—as an invitation to take a break, to reflect for a moment, and to have a genuine exchange in the midst of the hustle and bustle. The desire prompted us to create a little oasis in the middle of the OMR hubbub—our Underberg Speed Boule Challenge. Two teams, one reward: the golden jersey in the green and black camouflage look. A much coveted limited edition featuring the logos of Underberg, DIE FANTASTISCHEN VIER, and the OMR Festival. Throughout the day, two teams repeatedly competed against each other, and the winner was allowed to throw his or her name into the glass box.
